PRINT IMAGE DISORDER – BENDING
One of the problems encountered during printing is “print defect”, a problem often encountered when printing deep or curved surfaces. Causes and solutions:
Causes of Pad
- If the pad shape is not suitable, printing can be tried with different shaped pads.
- If the image is too close to the buffer edge, the buffer should be shifted or replaced with a larger buffer.
- If the pad is too soft or too hard, a pad of suitable hardness should be used.
Causes of Printing Block and Ink
- The printing block (cliche) is too deep. This, together with a thin ink, can cause image distortion and skew.
Material-Related Causes
- The material may be moving or bending during printing. This situation can be solved by using a hard pad that will not bend the material.
Other Reasons
- If the holding apparatus is moving, the apparatus must be fixed.
- If the material position is not suitable, the holder apparatus should be adjusted to support all areas of the material.
- In angled prints, smooth print can be obtained by changing the angle of the holder apparatus.
